About Us

The administrative leadership of the Centre for Communication Allied Media Studies (C-CAMS) will be headed by a Director and Assistant Director. The centre will consist of three curricular units: Communication Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Public Relations, each led by a Coordinator. The Director of Graduate Studies, Undergraduate Coordinator and Basic Course Director, and Director of Research and Outreach will also be part of the leadership team. An Executive Committee, comprising the Assistant Director, Director of Graduate Studies, Undergraduate Coordinator and Basic Course Director, Director of Research and Outreach, and each unit Coordinator, will advise the Director.

Each curricular unit will oversee specific majors within the School: Journalism and Mass Communication (Digital Media Production and Multimedia Journalism), Public Relations (Advertising and Public Relations), and Communication Studies (Communicating Science and Social Inquiry and Professional Communication). Communication Studies will also coordinate the School's general education offerings.

Unit Coordinators will be selected by the Director in consultation with faculty members and will serve on the Executive Committee. Their responsibilities will include representing unit faculty interests, mentoring faculty members, and assisting the Director with external stakeholder relations.

This organizational structure will facilitate effective administration, coordination of curricular responsibilities, and collaboration among faculty members within C-CAMS.
